This blog will focus primarily on two segments of my life that are hopefully interesting and relevant for readers: family life with four small children and my career in Silicon Valley. I’m constantly struck by how challenging it is to be a focused, involved father and at the same time try to grow a career in technology. In many ways being a father of four, accompanied by the many challenges my wife and I have experienced, has limited my career (postpartum depression, financial strain, illnesses, and much more that I’ll write about in this blog). At the same time it has made me a better leader, an effect I never would have predicted.
I will post on this blog when I have something worth saying. It won’t always be regular in frequency or form, and may even meander into topics I hadn’t planned. I hope you get some enjoyment or practical knowledge from some of my experience.
